This image was painted from a photo shared by exceptional dancer @mlhertog and is a shot from ‘Odysseus’ a choreographed performance about the king of Ithaca who wanders for 10 years after the Trojan war. The play features an incredible cast of dancers and this image really evokes a feeling of struggle whilst working together and I loved the shapes the two dancers created. I wanted to turn an image that was lots of subdued tones into something that featured a struggle between colours too. I loved painting this.
